Payouts
The money goes to your bank
Every member who sells gets their own Stripe Connect account. Buyers pay, our 8% and Stripe's processing come off on the way past, and the rest is settled into your account and paid out to your bank by Stripe. There is no wallet to beg from.
Whose money it is
A platform balance is somebody else's money with your name on it
Phyrne does not hold your takings. Each seller has a Stripe Connect account in their own name, and the money for a sale is settled into it. We are paid our 8% out of the same payment, at the same moment, and then we are out of it.
The difference shows up on the bad day. If we stopped existing tomorrow, the money already settled would still be yours, and Stripe would still pay it out.

What you see
Three numbers on every order, before the money moves
The price
What the buyer paid, line by line — the items, the postage, and the tax, which is ours to pay over and never yours.
Our fee
One line — our 8% with Stripe's processing folded in, fixed at the sale. What Stripe actually charges us is ours to settle.
Your net
What is transferred to your Stripe account for the order, to the cent. Each payout to your bank is listed with the day it arrives.
Setting it up
Fifteen minutes, once
-
Stripe asks who you are
You say which country you are paid in, and Stripe opens your account there. Then your legal name or your business, an address, a date of birth, and whatever that country needs in order to pay you. Phyrne never sees your bank details. -
Stripe pays you out
Straight to your bank, on Stripe's usual schedule for your country. Every payout is on your payouts screen with its amount and the day it arrives. -
Sell something
Payments start the moment Stripe says you are verified. Digital orders and licences deliver the second a payment clears. -
The paperwork arrives on its own
Stripe issues the tax forms it is required to from the details you already gave, and every order and payout stays on your screens for the year-end.
When it goes wrong
Refunds, disputes, and the parcel that never arrived
Refund an order in one press, in full or in part; our 8% comes back with it. A card dispute is ours to answer, with the order, the terms the buyer agreed to and the tracking. While the bank holds the money your share of it is held back too, and it comes back to you if the dispute is won. The dispute fee is ours, not yours.
If a member stops answering their buyers, we refund out of our own pocket and take it up with the member. Standing is a real thing here.
